Made a last minute reservation and they seated us within 30 mins! The chef was quick because we were the last sitting but we didn't mind as we usually like to dine and leave. Each piece was generous especially the sashimi.... and the foie gras!!!! The best bang for omakase and definitely worth checking out.

Very impressive omakase considering the price point (I admit, I was skeptical at first but they proved me wrong). All the pieces served was fresh and well balanced, with a good combination of traditional pieces and newer creative kicks on certain pieces. The service and communication from host/server could be better, but the chefs were kind and quick with their hands, so pieces came at a good pace. 100% recommend!

amazing omakase at an affordable price without sacrificing quality. this omakase bar has everything a more expensive experience would have, at the counter ambiance and delicious pieces of nigiri. the only downside that it is slightly more rushed (1 hour dining).

This was a very wonderful & unique experience. If you never had Omakasee before then, you need to give it a try. I'm not big on raw fish, but this experience gave me a whole new appreciation for it. I've never understood the raw fish until I came here. My palate is very sensitive & with that being said, there's no fishy taste, everything is very fresh & melts in your mouth. Each piece is bursting with flavor. And it's just a great experience even though it's relatively fast moving here compared to other places, but the flavor is on point. Keep an open mind, give it try! I had a lot of first here. First time having uni, and I'm not going to lie. I was scared to try it, but I'm happy I did. Don't forget to make reservations ahead. There's limited seating!

fast paced traditional omakase, probably my favorite traditional i’ve tried so far. toro was so good omg. chef was great and made each piece perfectly. i only took two pics (sorry) but its mostly nigiri so idk it looked exactly like what you imagine

Absolutely incredible meal especially at their price point. The fish is all imported from Japan and is of the highest quality. Every piece was delightful and unique. Seating is limited so make sure to make a reservation well in advance. They definitely roll you in and out on a tight schedule, this is not a slow chat and dine experience. The 13 course omakase is served in around 45 minutes and they have time at the end for you to order a few more pieces a la carte but there’s a pretty hard stop at the hour mark as they have to usher the next set of guests in for the night. Overall an amazing experience though, would highly recommend to any fish enthusiast.

Amazing tasting omakase especially for the price you pay. Everything tasted so good, with the Chu toro being a personal standout. Highly recommend going to this place for an all around solid omakase place.

If you’re considering SHINN EAST, I’d recommend visiting their other location SHINN WEST instead. From my experience, SHINN WEST has better service, quality, ingredients, and atmosphere. The Itamaes (chefs) at SHINN WEST are a lot more detailed in their work, and take their time to provide a more personalized experience through conversation and explanation of the different pairings. At SHINN EAST, our Itamae was a bit hurried and was rushing through the pieces. He was also a bit heavy handed on the wasabi.
